Precision conjuring of extraterrestrial spaghetti western mirages over real Spanish desert grit. Excellent, visionary stuff.
Favorite track: Ruínas.

A beautiful, psychedelic folk-rock dreamscape; es la música del bosque, las nubes, los océanos y los lugares lejanos y desconocidos.
Favorite track: Splendor Solis.

I admire the fast paced guitar rifts, the spanish rhythms, but moreover, the psychedelic free nature of your work.
Favorite track: Cheroqui.
Melange is the name of the spice that makes possible intergalactic travel, telepathy, and longevity in Frank Herbert's saga, "Dune." The quintet Melange was formed in Madrid in 2014 and it's members seek similar possibilities in their music. Melange’s band members have been involved in the independent music scene for quite some time, playing in bands such as Lüger, RIPKC, and Bucles, to name a few. However the band is really just of a group of friends, joined together with the intention of chasing their own creative restlessness. Melange is Adrian Ceballos (drums and vocals), Daniel Fernandez (bass and vocals), Mario Zamora (keyboard and vocals), Sergio Ceballos (guitar and vocals), and Miguel Rosón (guitar and vocals).
In the summer of 2015, their first full-length album was recorded in Las Alpujarras, Granada, with the help of producer and friend, Carlos Diaz. The record was then finalized in Madrid, at Fantom Power Studio with the help of producer Enrique Borrajeros. The self-released double LP was put out on Discos Tere in April 2016, commemorated with a sold-out record release concert at the legendary Sala El Sol, in Madrid. The album is a conceptual narrative, which was the result of a creative process fueled by diverse and personal experiences; evolution, comprehension and transformation through music. A music that is at once progressive, psychedelic, folky and always seeking something higher.
Melange spent the rest of 2016 playing in various venues and festivals throughout Spain like the Low Festival, Sonorama Festival, Sala Stereo (Alicante), Sala Planta Baja (Granada), Festival Noroeste, Festival Wos (Galicia), Fueu Festival (Gijon) and more. And during that time, Melange received acclaim from Spanish music critics such as El Pais, Mondo Sonoro, Ruta 66, Radio 3, and Sol Musica.
2017 found Melange touring more and recording their follow-up album, "Viento Bravo", which was recorded all-analog, live in studio at Gizmo 7 in Motril and Phantom Power in Madrid, and once again teamed up with engineer and producer Carlos Diaz. “Viento Bravo” is an even deeper dive into the band’s air-tight prog-psych folk-rock magic and will be released November 17th, 2017 on Beyond Beyond Is Beyond to a worldwide audience...and we are super excited for you to hear it!

I thought the only way to Beyond is beyond, but apparently beyond that Beyond is the true Beyond. I get it now. This massive sampler really shows the way. Some of the finest psych around. Nerve Salad
All 4 songs are loved equally. I absolutely cherish how enticing they all are and how naturally they pull you in. Good stuff, at times it kind of reminds me of early Syd Barrett Pink Floyd.
Bongwish just happen to cross my path. Immediately stapled to my collection for it's psychedelic sound. Red
Big, clanging psych-rock from this Arizona outfit fuses monk-like vocals with slow-winding guitars for songs that feel like strange hymns. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2016
Spaced-out krautrock and dizzying drone from this Irish band that packs a punch—the sound of being caught in an asteroid belt. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 9, 2023
